Butch Maki was tested as a helicopter combat solder in Vietnam, and the trenches of congressional politics. Butch brings tough-minded experience and judgment to the arena of government affairs. As the long-time senior staffer for then-congressman Bill Richardson, Butch formed professional relationships with New Mexico’s federal, state and local political and grassroots leaders. David Freer’s thirty years of experience has focused on the transactional, legislative and regulatory matters in a wide range of energy related issues and assignments. David has far reaching political expertise and substantive understanding of regulatory issues that impact the energy sector. Mr. Freer is recognized for his keen understanding of the utility industry and his “bottom-line” focus. Prior to joining BMA Strategies’ Washington D.C. office David provided political, public policy counsel and assistance to the Alaska Gas Line Port Authority and was instrumental in the planning and implementation of a proposed project to build a natural gas pipeline to parallel the existing Trans-Alaska Pipeline (TAPS) from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez providing natural gas to west coast markets. From 1998-2004 David headed up the Washington D.C. office of Sempra Energy where he managed and directed the regulatory interests of the company and its subsidiaries. Mr. Freer has a B.A. from Idaho State University and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Kansas. |

Tennessee Webb is a seasoned businessman whose experience includes specialized financing with international banks and private/public investment interests in the U.S. and Canada. Tennessee has also represented and negotiated distribution agreements with major studios in the financing of feature films. Early in his career Mr. Webb was the founding law partner of Boyden, Webb & Laforme of Toronto, Canada where his tenure included managing, representing and negotiating entertainment contracts for recording artists, producers, screenwriters and television personalities. Included in Tennessee’s impressive portfolio is his popular characterization of Mark Twain-a portrayal he has performed on both stage and in studio for many years. Mr. Webb’s admission to the bar took place at the Law Society of Upper Canada-Osgoode Hall, April, 1979; he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Ottawa, Canada, in theatre arts. |

Roy has built an impressive record of contributing to the welfare of the people of New Mexico through his long-standing public service. He brings BM&A extensive management and administrative experience in the public, non-profit and private sectors, and recently served as the first New Mexico Cabinet Secretary for the Department of Information Technology. His other appointments include State Chief Information Officer, State Chief Information Security Officer, Chairman of the Governor's IT Consolidation Board as well as the executive appointee directing state agencies for five different New Mexico elected officials. Roy has been the catalyst behind new strategy, vision, direction and oversight for Information Technology for New Mexico and was recently appointed to oversee all IT standards and practices. Additional past appointments include Deputy Secretary for the Department of Labor, Deputy Secretary for the Department of Corrections, City of Albuquerque Chief of Staff, Deputy Land Commissioner and the Administrative Services Director for Health and Environment. Roy has an extensive management and consulting background within the private sector, including his tenure as Senior Consultant for Medicus Systems. |
